Our Services
- General Diagnostic Procedures – Diagnostics can typically include an Xray exam, oral evaluations, and dental cleanings from our expert staff of dentists and oral healthcare professionals
- Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry – While preventing damage to our patients’ teeth is our number one goal, we know that sometimes unfortunate things happen and it’s necessary to fix a patient’s teeth. This can take the form of fillings for cavities, inlays, and onlays, and crowns to protect vulnerable teeth from further damage. Our cosmetic options are intended to give patients straighter and brighter smiles. Discolored teeth can disappear with the help of beautiful veneers and patients with misaligned teeth can embrace a new and healthier smile while maintaining their appearance with Invisalign braces.
- Advanced Procedures – Sometimes patients find themselves dealing with more serious concerns that may stem from such issues as advanced gum disease. Elegant Dentistry can help with a variety of these issues; we offer root canals, gum grafting, and dental implants – the gold standard in tooth replacement.
Questions and Answers with Dr. Marjaneh Moghimi
Why is it necessary to see a dentist when my teeth and gums feel and look fine?
Even patients with nearly perfect dental habits can develop oral ailments, and most of the time, symptoms don’t become apparent until the ailment is already well established. By visiting a dentist regularly for checkups, there’s a much higher chance that any developing illnesses can be caught and treated long before it makes a major concern. Remember that the earlier we catch a problem, the easier and less expensive it is to fix. Also, twice-yearly teeth cleanings are an oral-health must.
What’s the difference between getting a teeth cleaning and a “deep cleaning” which I sometimes hear about?
Twice yearly teeth cleanings are an important part of regular oral hygiene. In these cases, patients’ teeth and gums will be scrubbed of the tartar and plaque buildup that inevitably tends to accumulate on teeth. A “deep cleaning,” however, refers to a more involved procedure, actually a form of very light oral surgery, known as scaling and root planing, that is intended to treat and prevent various forms of gum disease.
